The Central Spartans won the last time they faced the Brawley Wildcats, and things went their way on Saturday too. Central took down Brawley 45-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Central.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Lopez, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Daimaggio Wyatt, who scored 15 points.
Brawley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Flores, who scored nine points. Ethan Flores was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Brawley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Calipatria on Thursday. Brawley and Indio will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Indio presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brawley in California (Indio is ranked 438th, while Brawley is ranked 929th).
