Mechanicville is 6-1 against Emma Willard since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Red Raiders will host the Jesters at 4:30 p.m. Mechanicville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Mechanicville got the win against Berlin/New Lebanon by a conclusive 14-3. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Paige Rogers was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Riley LaPierre was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Beuchner, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Mechanicville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Emma Willard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-6 to Waterford-Halfmoon.
Emma Willard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma O., who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
Mechanicville now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Emma Willard, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
Mechanicville took their victory against Emma Willard in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Jesters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
