Ballard Christian extended the longest winning streak in Independent Christian of GA/AL - South (8 Man) this week by beating Colonial Hills Christian, 48-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Lafayette Christian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league.
Buddy Hammock's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Braxton Nelson threw for 29 and two touchdowns and Baylor Nichols had 19 yards receiving. On the ground Jarrett Scott chipped in 141 yards. Garrett Dumler helped Ballard Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.
Nelson has thrown for 86 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Dalton Starling has six catches for 85 yards. Scott leads the league in rushing with 868 yards.
Ballard Christian took down the Rams 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nelson ran for 45 yards in the win.
