Pomfret School lost to Frederick Gunn back in December of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Pomfret School Griffins narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Frederick Gunn Highlanders 61-58. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Griffins.

Despite the loss, Frederick Gunn still got an impressive performance from Kas Mirza, who went 8 for 11 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Jah Reaves, who posted 11 points along with six assists and six boards.

Pomfret School's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Frederick Gunn, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
