Softball Recap: Cass Tech Wins Going Away Against Taylor

Cass Tech barely beat Taylor the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Technicians were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Cougars on Wednesday. Considering the Technicians have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cass Tech's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Taylor, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cass Tech will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Inter-City Baptist at 4:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Taylor, they will square off against Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Railsplitters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.18 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
