Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rice Lake). They snuck past the Superior Spartans with a 48-42 victory on Friday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Spartans are ranked 195th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rice Lake's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Superior, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rice Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Superior will challenge rival New Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
