Basketball Recap: Gissele Reyes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Bend Dulles over Mayde Creek

Fort Bend Dulles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mayde Creek Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-27 back in November.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gissele Reyes, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Reyes a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Sai Sai Stewart, who had ten points and six steals.

Fort Bend Dulles' record is now 4-16. As for Mayde Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Fort Bend Dulles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-29 victory against Cypress Ridge on the 27th. As for Mayde Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-31 win against Clear Springs on the 27th.
