The Parkville Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Pikesville Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Parkville got the win against Lansdowne by a conclusive 12-2. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Brian Crispin De La Cruz was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Weston Brine was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Aiden Collins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, while Pikesville put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Eastern Tech. The Panthers put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
The team relied heavily on William Holaday, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Pikesville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kairee Williams, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Pikesville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Parkville, their record is now 8-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Parkville has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pikesville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Parkville came out on top in a nail-biter against Pikesville when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
