Volleyball Recap: Quincy Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Quincy waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Galesburg Silver Streaks by a score of 2-0. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Silver Streaks, too.

Quincy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19.

Laina Bunte paced Quincy's offense, picking up five kills. Bunte got some help from Madelyn Hamby and her eight assists. Leah Knudson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Quincy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Galesburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Quincy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against East St. Louis on the 30th. As for Galesburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 30th.
