Limon is a perfect 3-0 against Flatirons Academy since November of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Badgers will welcome the Bison at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Flatirons Academy will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Limon extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Badgers took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-8 win over Yuma. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Badgers just coasted through the last quarter.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Camdyn Tacha and Jacob Jaklich. Tacha rushed for 28 yards and two TDs while Jaklich rushed for 85 yards and one score on only nine carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Tacha has posted since back in September of 2024. Another big playmaker for Limon was Drey Tacha, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Limon proved: they limited Yuma to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Tacha stood above the rest. He rushed for 28 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Limon didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Flatirons Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Prospect Ridge Academy 46-0 on Friday. The Bison have beaten the Miners the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Miners has come to flipping the script.
Flatirons Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Caleb Doughty, Isaiah Figueroa, Blaise Doughty, and Jack Joyner picked up one apiece. Figueroa also made five total tackles, which is notable because Flatirons Academy is 4-2 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.
Flatirons Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Limon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Everything came up roses for Limon against Flatirons Academy when the teams last played back in September, as the squad secured a 41-13 win. In that game, the Badgers amassed a halftime lead of 41-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
