Davenport is 0-7 against Boerne since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Davenport Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Boerne Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Davenport comes in on six and Boerne on 12.
Bandera typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Davenport proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the BULLDOGS by a score of 49-37.
Carson Bloess was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Cole Rios, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Boerne didn't have too much trouble with Fredericksburg at home on Tuesday as they won 56-40. Given Boerne's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Fredericksburg is ranked 753rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Davenport's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-7. As for Boerne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.
Davenport came up short against Boerne in their previous meeting back in January, falling 60-48. Can Davenport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
