The Weatherford Kangaroos will face off against the Mansfield Legacy Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Weatherford made easy work of Crowley and carried off a 17-6 victory. The Kangaroos haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Meanwhile, while Mansfield Legacy put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for North Crowley. Mansfield Legacy put the hurt on North Crowley with a sharp 15-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Broncos sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Natalie Moreaux was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hope Gaudio, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Thalia Hunter, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Mansfield Legacy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.
Mansfield Legacy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Weatherford, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
