Glenbard South will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Elgin at 7:30 PM. Glenbard South have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Glenbard South had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their game against Streamwood last Friday 23-10.
Meanwhile, Elgin had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-47 to Glenbard East. Elgin were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-41.
Glenbard South's win lifted them to 1-0 while Elgin's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Glenbard South can add another positive mark to their record or if Elgin can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Glenbard South's step.
