The Cahokia Comanches lost against the Jersey Panthers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Cahokia was dealt a 59-30 defeat at the hands of Jersey. Cahokia has not had much luck with Jersey recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Leading Jersey to victory were Meredith Gray and Tessa Crawford. Gray scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds, while Crawford scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Gray hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Anna Kribbs was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Cahokia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jersey, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cahokia will take on Centralia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jersey, they will be playing at home against Mascoutah at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
