The Coram Deo Academy Lions will look to defend their home court against the Brighter Horizons Academy Stars at 6:00 p.m. Coram Deo Academy will be strutting in after a win while the Stars will be coming in after a loss.
Coram Deo Academy can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep 88-13 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-4.
Coram Deo Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Lily Patterson, who scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds, and Hannah Newton, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Newton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Skelly, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Brighter Horizons Academy, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were beaten by Grapevine Faith Christian 70-2 on Thursday.
Coram Deo Academy's win bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Brighter Horizons Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Everything came up roses for Coram Deo Academy against the Stars in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 72-4 win. With Coram Deo Academy ahead 48-1 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
