Regents is 8-2 against Fresta Valley Christian since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Regents Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Fresta Valley Christian Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Regents has three straight wins, Fresta Valley Christian has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Regents beat Ridgeview Christian 46-37.
Regents found their leader in underclassman Kaileen Harlow, who scored 33 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harlow has scored at least a third of Regents' points. Another player making a difference was Esther Keppel, who scored four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Fresta Valley Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Monday as they fell 30-24 to Regents. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fresta Valley Christian in their matchups with Regents: they've now lost three in a row.
Regents is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Fresta Valley Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3.
Regents didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fresta Valley Christian in their previous matchup last Monday, but they still walked away with a 30-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Regents since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
