Koby Perry was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Like Virgin Valley, Mater Academy East Las Vegas also got a great game from a two-way player: Jesse Rojas. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Rojas has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rocky Storla, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luis Delgadillo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Virgin Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mater Academy East Las Vegas struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
