Wingate waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Newcomb Skyhawks with a sharp 22-12 victory. The Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Wingate's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Newcomb, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Looking ahead, Wingate is taking a road trip to square off against McCurdy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newcomb, they have already played their next matchup, a 19-9 win against Thoreau on the 24th.
