Basketball Recap: Leflore Skates Past Blount with Ease

LeFlore came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they left with even more momentum. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 77-36 stomp they got against the Blount Leopards. The Rattlers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

DEANTONIO LESUEUR went supernova for LeFlore, putting up 22 points and seven rebounds. ETHAN FOSTER was another key player, posting 13 points and six rebounds.

LeFlore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for Blount, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LeFlore will head out to square off against Hillcrest at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. LeFlore knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Hillcrest likes a good challenge. As for Blount, they will face off against Saraland at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
