The Neuse Christian Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Thales Academy Apex on the road and fell 81-35. Neuse Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Nathan Purvis, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Thales Academy Apex. Purvis hasn't dropped below 16 points for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Rachmuth, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Neuse Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. As for Thales Academy Apex, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-22.
Neuse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thales Academy Apex will square off against the Falcons at TBD on Thursday.
