The Ouachita Parish Lions will challenge the Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Ouachita Parish is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Ouachita Parish easily dispatched Ruston on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Ouachita Parish fell just short of D'Arbonne Woods by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since February 18th.

Madisyn Lenard was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Madison, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Calvary Baptist Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Jena a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Cavaliers have won 16 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Kynzee Anderson was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Baylor Bockhaus was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carlie Guile, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Calvary Baptist Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least three home runs in three consecutive games.
Calvary Baptist Academy's victory was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Ouachita Parish, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
