Carlsbad entered their tilt with IDEA Rio Vista College Preparatory on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Raptors. The result was nothing new for the Cavemen/Cavegirls, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Carlsbad pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for IDEA Rio Vista College Preparatory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Carlsbad will square off against Clovis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cavemen/Cavegirls' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. IDEA Rio Vista College Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
