Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Whitewright). Everything went their way against the Savoy Cardinals on Friday as Whitewright made off with  a  21-1 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 Ian Jordan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Jordan was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Whitewright's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).
 In other batting news,  Ty Roland and  Graham Elliott did most of the damage at the plate:  Roland  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI, while  Elliott  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Roland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cale Clark, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
Whitewright's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Savoy, their loss was  their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Whitewright and Savoy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Whitewright will  face off against  Bells  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday down  339 places (627 vs. 288). Meanwhile,  Savoy (ranked 1295th) will meet Honey Grove (ranked 564th)  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
