The Hicksville Aces's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Tinora 58-24. While losing is never fun, Hicksville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 693rd, while the Rams are ranked 255th).
Despite the defeat, Hicksville saw an underclassman step up: Kennedy Adams scored 15 points.
Hicksville's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Tinora, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
Hicksville will head out on the road to square off against the Archers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tinora, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Royals at 1:30 p.m. Elmwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
