The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Volcano Vista had established a 21 point advantage.
Meanwhile, Cibola's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 70-63 to Atrisco Heritage Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), Cibola still had to take the loss.
Volcano Vista pushed their record up to 22-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cibola, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
