Make it six blowout wins for the Piper Pirates this season. Everything went their way against West on Thursday as Piper made off with a 79-54 win. The win was nothing new for Piper as they're now sitting on five straight.
Despite the defeat, West saw an underclassman step up: Keimani Paul scored ten points along with five rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Young, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Piper's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for West, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piper won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Lions on February 2nd.
