The West Boca Raton Bulls will face off against the Pine Crest Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Boca Raton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
West Boca Raton couldn't beat Saint Andrew's on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Bulls fell 11-7 to the Scots.
Derek Godfrey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Rodriguez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Pine Crest made sure to put some runs up on the board against Nova on Thursday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Titans. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Brady Bushnell looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Max McCawley was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Gladding, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Pine Crest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
West Boca Raton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Pine Crest, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
West Boca Raton beat Pine Crest 12-7 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Do the Bulls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
