Big Sandy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the New Summerfield Hornets 21-6. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won eight in a row.
Lexie McCartney made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits.
