The Goshen RedHawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. Their tough 61-41 loss to Warsaw might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Goshen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Warsaw is ranked 42nd).
Goshen's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gage Worthman, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Williams, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Warsaw, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goshen will challenge Mishawaka at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Warsaw's road trip will continue as they head out to face NorthWood at 7:45 p.m. on January 26th.
