Monterey came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Palo Duro Dons on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Plainsmen also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

Monterey let Broc Sandoval and Bryce Alexander run wild. Sandoval went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Alexander went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Sandoval has posted since back in March.

Monterey's win bumped their record up to 6-25-1. As for Palo Duro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Monterey will have a chance to go back-to-back against Palo Duro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
