Austin Hunt and Darneail Jenkins provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Mt. Eden. The longest such play in Diablo Valley this season, the connection resulted in 73 yards.
Concord extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Heritage, 34-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Minutemen.
Concord's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Wyatt Marrow threw for 250 and three touchdowns and Jacob Daynes had 121 yards receiving. On the ground Olito Thompson chipped in 173 yards. Daniel Golden helped Concord's passing attack out by catching four balls for 59 yards.
Concord's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Minutemen feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Marrow has thrown for 834 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Daynes has 21 catches for 341 yards. Thompson leads the league in rushing with 894 yards.
Clayton Valley moved up to 228 from 391 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Diablo Valley. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of a 58-19 win over Liberty.
