After's a string of 3 wins, Mt. Vernon's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and Reeds Spring were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered an agonizing 26-27 defeat. Mt. Vernon were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Reeds Spring apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up.
The loss dropped Mt. Vernon's record to 3-1. The victory bumped Reeds Spring's record up to 4-0.
Next week Mt. Vernon take on Aurora at 7:00 PM. Reeds Spring will look to defend their home turf against Springfield Catholic at 7:00 PM.
