The win was all the more spectacular given Tantasqua Regional's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Millbury is ranked 25th).
When it comes to explaining why Millbury lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kenny Donnelly. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Donnelly is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jimmer Donnelly, who scored 11 points.
Tantasqua Regional is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Millbury, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season.
