Several Doane Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nick Fusco, who scored 20 points along with six assists. Fusco has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Hiatt Smith was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Trenton Catholic Academy pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Doane Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
