There's no place like home for the Stamford Black Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Bridgeport Central with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stamford also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Bridgeport Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kai Clarke. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clarke has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zi?ayanna Mason, who scored five points along with two steals.
Stamford pushed their record up to 5-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bridgeport Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stamford will square off against Darien at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridgeport Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Harding at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. Harding is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
