On Saturday Brookside Christian take on Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 PM. Brookside Christian will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Brookside Christian ran circles around Delta Charter last Saturday, and the extra yardage (352 yards vs. -11.6 yards) paid off. Brookside Christian steamrollered Delta Charter 46-0. Junior Michael Knight was the offensive standout of the match for Brookside Christian, as he rushed for 184 yards and 3 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Knight's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past three games.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing ten points in their last match, Stone Ridge Christian made sure to put some points up on the board against Turlock Christian. Stone Ridge Christian put a hurting on Turlock Christian to the tune of 50-0. Stone Ridge Christian were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Brookside Christian to 5-2 and Stone Ridge Christian to 4-3. Stone Ridge Christian's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Brookside Christian defensive front that amassed 16 sacks against Delta Charter, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
