Basketball Recap: Malcolm Extends Winning Streak to Three

Malcolm had won two straight games and Payton Dolliver did her part to make it three on Wednesday. The Malcolm Clippers walked away with a 62-51 victory over the Concordia Mustangs thanks to Dolliver, who dropped a double-double with 36 points and 11 rebounds. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points.

Another player making a difference was Kenna Wilcox, who posted 11 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Concordia's loss came despite strong showings from Emersyn Spurgeon and Charis Hughes. Spurgeon put up 12 points, while Hughes had 13 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliza Secrest, who earned eight points.

Malcolm's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Concordia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Malcolm has already played their next matchup, a 46-35 victory against Fort Calhoun on the 20th. Concordia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
