Not much got past Samuel Hart, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Middle Tennessee Monarchs off the board. Hart also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Louis HomeSchool P is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 11-12 otherwise.
At the plate, Vinny Tornatore was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ben Janssen, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Wake County HomeSchool won against Fairfax HomeSchool on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Warriors came out on top against Mansfield Homeschool by a score of 9-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.
Ethan Evans looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gunnar Manning, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Martin, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs.
St. Louis HomeSchool P pushed their record up to 18-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Wake County HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 21-8.
St. Louis HomeSchool P might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Wake County HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
