Bassick is 8-2 against Harding since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Bassick Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Harding Presidents at 1:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bassick and 24 for Harding dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Bassick came up short against Amistad and fell 42-31.
Meanwhile, Harding was beaten by Bridgeport Central 61-32 on Saturday. Harding has struggled against Bridgeport Central recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Bassick has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Harding, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Bassick was able to grind out a solid win over Harding when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 53-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bassick since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
