TATUM, N.M. -
Tatum (N.M.) put up 28 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 54-32 victory over
Melrose (N.M.).
The Coyotes were up 20-6 at the half after taking the lead on a
Jaden Kirkpatrick touchdown run in the first quarter.
Both teams scored six points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 14 entering the fourth.
Tanner Dickerman played well for the Buffaloes. The freshman quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for two touchdowns.
Timmy Pearce stood out for Tatum in the win. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.
THS got revenge for last year's 26-18 loss to Melrose with the victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Coyotes, which lost to Gateway Christian last week, 36-12.
In a 8-Man District 2 (8 Man) game next week Tatum (6-1) takes on Carrizozo, and Melrose (1-7) will go up against Floyd also in a 8-Man District 2 (8 Man) game.
