After flying high against the Shawnee Redskins two weeks ago, the Cobden Appleknockers came back down to earth. Cobden was dealt a 54-20 loss at the hands of Chester on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cobden has scored all season.
Chester found their leader in underclassman Lexie Mott, who scored 16 points. The contest was Mott's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jessica Stumpe , who scored six points.
Cobden's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Chester, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Cobden will be playing at home against Century at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chester, they will head out on the road to face off against Red Bud at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Red Bud focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
