Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact the Fremont Silverwolves proved on Thursday. They put the hurt on Bonneville with a sharp 65-45 win. That looming 65-45 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fremont yet this season.
Fremont had a senior duo take command as Hunter Hansen scored 23 points along with six assists and six rebounds and Tyler Allen scored 13 points along with three blocks. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hansen has scored at least 25% of Fremont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Saunders, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Bonneville still got an impressive performance from Ben Tesch, who scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Zac Combe, who scored eight points.
The win makes it two in a row for Fremont and bumps their season record up to 8-4. As for Bonneville, they bumped their record down to 4-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Fremont will square off against Skyridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Skyridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three contests. As for Bonneville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woods Cross is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
