Baseball Recap: East Central HomeSchool Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tuscaloosa Christian, East Central HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Tabernacle Torches 14-13. Considering the Patriots' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Andrew Barksdale and Barrett Weems did most of the damage at the plate: Barksdale scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Weems scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Barksdale a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Luke Gast, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

East Central HomeSchool now has a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Central HomeSchool will host Cullman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Central HomeSchool has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Tabernacle, they will take on Cornerstone Christian at 5:00 p.m. on March 14th.
