Volleyball Recap: Friday's Win Is the Covenant School's 16th in Last 18 Outings

The Covenant School won the last time they faced Collegiate and Kalley Mcnish did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars on Friday, sneaking past 3-2 with plenty of help from Mcnish, who had 15 digs and six aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

The Covenant School was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-17, 20-25, 25-17, 15-12.

The Covenant School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Collegiate, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 19-8 record.

The Covenant School and Collegiate are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Eagles will be playing at home against Cape Henry Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Collegiate, they will welcome Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
