Columbia Central had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were able to grind out a solid win over Hillwood, winning 49-41. That result is just more of the same for Columbia Central, who also won the last time these teams played.
Hillwood got a solid performance out of senior Hale Page, who passed for 295 yards and 3 touchdowns; unfortuately, it just wasn't enough for the win. This was the first game for both teams, giving Columbia Central a 1-0 record and starting Hillwood off at 0-1.
Next week, Columbia Central take on Dickson County at 7:00 PM. As for Hillwood, they will face of against Portland.
