The Banning Lewis Academy Stallions will head out on the road to  take on  The Vanguard School Coursers at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the pair posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Last Wednesday, Banning Lewis Academy strolled past Florence with  points to spare, taking the game  63-49. The  win was just what Banning Lewis Academy needed coming off of a  43-23 defeat in their prior  game.
 Banning Lewis Academy can attribute much of their success to   Joseph Bjegovich, who  scored 13 points along with eight  rebounds and five  assists, and   Kobe Welch, who  scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Welch has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordan Jones, who  scored six points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 Meanwhile, The Vanguard School put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Woodland Park 74-42 on the road. The Vanguard School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six  games by 21  points or more this season.
 It was another big night for  Cameron Rowney, who  scored 20 points along with five  steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's  played.  JJ Wetters was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with six  assists and three  steals.
 Banning Lewis Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with that  win, which was their eighth straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for The Vanguard School, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
 Banning Lewis Academy came up short against The Vanguard School in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023, falling  51-44. Thankfully for Banning Lewis Academy,  Drew Houchens (who  scored 19 points along with two  steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
