Meanwhile, Clearview put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Oberlin 42-0 on the road. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Clippers this season.
Among those leading the charge was Cy Christensen, who threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jg Hill, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wellington now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Clearview, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Wellington was taken down by Clearview 48-12 in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wellington was down 41-6.
