The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Founders Classical Academy in their matchups with GV Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Founders Classical Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Gloria, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Bruning, who scored 14 points.
Nick Madsen was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Terrance Turner was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 8 assists.
Founders Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for GV Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Founders Classical Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Adelson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Adelson is ranked 59th, while Founders Classical Academy is ranked 69th). As for GV Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lincoln County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
