Make it eight blowout wins for the Stratton Eagles this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Genoa-Hugo/Karval 71-35 at home. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for 52 points.

It was the first time this season that Isenbart posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Isenbart, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Stratton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stratton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Byers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Eagles are ranked 26th). As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Fleming focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
