Bloomer will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Spooner at 7:00 PM. Bloomer have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Bloomer was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Lakeland last Friday as they made off with a 42-14 win. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Bloomer are ranked far ahead of Lakeland in the MaxPreps rankings.
Meanwhile, Spooner found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-31 punch to the gut against Baldwin-Woodville last week.
Bloomer's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Spooner's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Bloomer can add another positive mark to their record or if Spooner can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Bloomer's step.
